The story is simple enough — just enough so that there is something to latch on to as an excuse for cutting people to shreds. Killing these engineers is not easy as any physical damage they receive instantly revives itself and mutates into various deadly weapons. To kill them, one must cut a strange key shaped appendage from their button and break it in half.

This just sounds so intensely crazy that it has to be fun right? Well, yes and no. The opening scene of blood letting is just too ridiculous not to have fun with. Blood is everywhere. It sprays all over the floor, the ceiling and even the camera lens starts with droplets on it before becoming slowly drenched in the gooey, red blood. When a mysterious death interrupts a construction project, a soon-to-be Empress brings in detective Di Renjie to solve the case. The Hong Kong Film awards gave it 13 nominations, covering all categories, resulting in 6 wins for direction, acting, art, costumes, sound, and visual effects.

Stephen has been infatuated with movie magic on screen and off since wearing out his VHS copy of The Making of Star Wars when he was 7. This passion continues in his work as a film journalist, whether it's hunting down breadcrumbs about the Snyder Cut, breaking down box office trends, or obsessing over Rotten Tomatoes data, Stephen lives in the minutiae, as listeners of his podcast, Batman v Superman: By the Minute with fellow-Screen Rant editor Andrew Dyce know all too well.

When he's not writing on the site, Stephen can be found obsessing over vintage camera lenses, chasing his tiny children around, or getting himself into trouble on Twitter smcolbert.
