You are just a number. Management could care less about any issues you are having. They will force you to only have a life for 8 hours of your day to sleep, eat and do anything personal outside of work. Was this review helpful? Yes No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1.
Report Share. Good company to work for. Producing a good quality beer would be fun and working as a team. Keeping a safe environment working in the plant at all times.
Getting a good run every day or night. I would say that there's any thing bad to say it is a great company to work for. They treat you like a slave.
Your just a number. Good pay but not worth the amount they make you work. Yes I said make you work. Weekends, 12 hour shifts. It makes for a uneasy feeling constantly wondering if you will be forced to stay late or work the entire weekend. Pros Good pay. Cons No personal life. Comp and benefits are competitive, opportunity for growth and development are there and in my experience all the managers I reported to seemed to genuinely care about my development. Pros Comp, flexibility, monthly beer allotment.
Cons Extremely stressful work environment. Molson Coors is a decent place to work. The pay and benefits are average for the industry, but they are good when compared to flipping burgers.
The management is lacking and a little old fashioned. Work from home is not a thing unless you are not an essential employee. This is not surprising since this is a manufacturing plant where you need to be physically present.
The work life balance is lacking and you are expected to be on call or available to cover a shift at a moments notice. The most difficult part of the job is working with bad management, and old or broken equipment, nothing here is new and you are always expected to be a miracle worker.
The best part of the job is the variety of tasks and ability to gain a wide range of experience. It's definitely worth working here for a while just to see the place. Pros Decent pay, consistent work, overtime, decent benefits. Cons management expectations, work life balance. Care to share? Help people considering your employer. Share your experience. Absolutely hated it.
I had the worst supervisor and worked with a team of backstabbers. This is the worst job I've ever had, a whole year wasted! That's it That's all!!! Pros None. Cons Management. You have no life outside of work. You are forced to work 12hr shift 6 days a week. If you are not liked by your co workers or kiss up to supervisor. You can kiss promotion bye bye. Pros Money. A manager that listens and cares about how you are doing as a person, not just treated like a cog in the wheel. Good teammates.
If you love beer then the free or discounted beer perks is good. There were in office bars that you could meet in or socialize at. Lots of politics made it hard to work or stay focused on following through on projects. Great place to work for. Lots of overtime. Unfortunately, the changing of the old guard really shook things up for the worst.
Lost a great Colorado culture in the short sidedness of the new CEO. Tons of great talent was able to walk out the door. Sad times for the Coors family and their legacy in the beer business as they bow down to board members and inept CEOs to make dumb strategic decisions.
Pros World class culture. Fun place to work. Cons Turned into Corp followers vs industry leaders. I have been there for 33 years and really enjoyed my experience and time there. I meet lots of friends there along the way. Became more like a family. Pros Treated like family. Fun, challenging industry and good people. I've had a great time in my five years here. Most everyone is nice and it's been a lot of fun so far. You get to attend some cool events at times, and you get free beer every month!
Pros Free beer, good people. Cons Service based jobs have little-to-no chance for advancement. Great experience with one of the largest and wealthiest companies in the world, but get ready for hard work and stressful times. Marketing Former Employee - Texas - January 28, The experience was amazing in many ways. The perks were great, and though many people may focus on that, they didn't make the job what it should have been.
Upper management is stuck up, stuck in their ways, and unwilling to take constructive and productive feedback. Whenever I did give feedback, I felt like someone was watching me. They are very hard to talk to. Distributors for the most part are amazing to work with, still stuck in their old "this is how we have always done beer" ways, but are slowly learning to adapt.
Co workers were great, diverse to some degree could definitely be more diverse but there is definitely drama in all corners of the company. Hard to get away from. The job itself is difficult, stressful, time consuming but rewarding when you accomplish your objectives. Bonuses depend on the market, so don't be fooled by your individual performance - though your performance is what's most important.
Also, HR is terrible. They dont function the way you would think. Not as helpful and very passive aggressive. Just be weary. Pros Perks, Free beer, Tickets and experiences are the best of all, Great for the resume Experience is incredible all things considered.
Cons Pay isn't what it should be. Upper management isn't great, stuck up and full of themselves. Expect hard work, very little recognition and some back stabbing by employees with years of employment. Claimed Profile. Want to know more about working here?
