The First-Year Residential Experience at Cleveland State University is a year-long, residentially-based program designed to help students learn valuable information about college life and the University and to establish a foundation for success in and outside the classroom. Students in the Program live in select residence halls and buildings with their first-year classmates and have the opportunity to participate in programming designed to meet the unique needs of first-year students.

The objectives of this first-year program include facilitating the transition to campus life, providing opportunities to make connections with peers, promoting healthy living by helping develop physical and emotional wellness skills, and fostering a sense of community and belonging. For the academic year, Cleveland State will offer the first-year program to all students in Fenn Tower and Buildings 1 and 2 of Euclid Commons.
