The school wasn't perfect but the teachers in the school did make a difference. The only thing that was not good about this school was the substitutes, who didn't care about the students or being there to help. The classes were crowded I hope it's not like that any more.

The teachers who have been there the longest are the ones who cares about the students the most. Academy - PS My daughter has attended this school for 5 years, and I couldn't be happier with my choice in elementary school.

The teachers are amazing, and very dedicated to the students. They do not teach for state tests instead they prepare the students for critical thinking.

There are no text books, which I like since they create their own curriculum and are not limited to teach according to one textbook. In Math and ELA, students are broken out in groups based on their ability across the grades, but have specific focus to help them grow and develop. The classes have two teachers and then one or two assistant teachers. They are available to answer questions.

And ClassDojo a facebook for schools is a great tool for teachers, parents, and staff to stay connected. Teachers post videos with new math concepts to help parents understand!!!! It is a small school, but builds a great community and support for parents, students, teachers and staff.

Will not be returning next year. My son's class has 30 kids and this school overall feels incredibly overcrowded. Ps Henrietta Szold. The teachers my daughter has had at this school were great. I couldn't ask for better teachers.

And the principal does an excellent job. My experience has been a positive one at this school. My daughter has been here since kindergarten.

She's now going to 4th grade. Ps Nathan Straus. PS is amazing! They truly want children to learn and will take the time to teach the kids that aren't able to learn as quick as the others. Their staff is courteous, sympathetic and have great technics to teach children.

If they had additional funding they would definitely put it to good use. My eldest graduated from this school and my little one is still there and he loves the teachers and so did my eldest.

They take the time to not only teach them education; they also teach them social skills and responsibility. When asked from other parents about PS I can only think of positive things to say.

From the moment you walk in the building you are greeted and willing to help you or steer you in the direction you need. I'm happy my kids went and still go to PS My son now in High School is pleased to pick up his brother at PS as it gives him a chance to see his previous teachers and catch up with the staff.
